Coming from Belo Horizonte: passing by Petrópolis, go down the mountain and take the exit to Rio-Teresópolis until Magé. From there go towards Manila and Rio Bonito (BR 101) and then follow the directions of coming from Rio de Janeiro.
The Via Lagos
The part of the road from Rio-Bonito all the way to S. Pedro da Aldeia, inaugurated in December/98 and administrated by the Via Lagos concessionaire, reduced the time travelling from Rio to Búzios at at least 30 minutos. More than that, the new road free the drivers from the annoying traffic during the summer and also from the eletronics radars of the RJ-106 in Araruama and Iguaba. This way, more than 80% of the route from Rio to Búzios, has now two lines, each way, of excelente conditions. The final part of the route has still one line, each way, and is also in excellent condition.
